I got a corsage of orchards on long ribbon, Diane got a corsage on roses. Attached is a picture of us with our flowers. It humbling to be treated like this knowing these people have so little.
When we left for Mindoro we left the car at a place that keeps them safe, and when we returned the man that kept the cars had them waiting for us and invited us to his grandson's birthday party. They fed us dinner and though I can't tell you what we ate it was pretty good all things considered. These are very humble people and have little to give. I don't think they are members, but somehow the missionaries have established a relationship with them so they know us and appreciate our business. We spent about an hour there eating and putting stickers on the kids. We would have brought some of the children home if it were possible. Though this party was held in what looked like a junk yard it was fun and enjoyable.
